【解釋】 
  “be kept in the dark ”字面上的意思是“被困在黑暗中”寓意是“什麼都看不清，什麼都不知道”。對發生的與自己有關的事情一點兒也不知道。 be kept in the dark 也就是我們常說的“蒙在鼓裡”！



【例子】 

1.This matter was kept a secret from everyone except the secretary Xu. 
這件事除了徐秘書，別人都還蒙在鼓裡呢。
